meet our leadership team
Emily Huebner
Co-Director
Medical Student
As one of the co-directors, I aspire to work dynamically in meeting the evolving needs of houseless residents in the Seattle area. After volunteering as an undergraduate scribe and being able to return as a graduate student volunteer, I've witnessed the incredible ways UDSM works to bridge healthcare gaps in this community. Furthermore, the interprofessional nature of UDSM supports holistic care for our clients and outstanding learning experiences for our students. I look forward to working with folks experiencing houselessness and improving their access to care with UDSM and on into my medical career.

Jessi Kelley
OneHealth Outreach Manager
I am very excited to partner with the OneHealth Clinic and WSU College of Veterinary Medicine at New Horizons as the UDSM Outreach Manager. I am passionate about population health and system changes through upstream primary prevention principles. This role allows me to engage UW students with the One Health concept of the human, animal, and environment interface to serve young adults and their companion animals in the Seattle community. UDSM volunteers can assist with primary care for humans complimented by veterinary care for their animals while assessing environmental factors that impact the dyad. This collaborative effort improves primary care access for our community members while encouraging health equity initiatives with trauma informed care, gender-affirming care, and harm reduction interventions. I look forward to better understand and enhance the connection of animal companionship through grassroots efforts and data collection to improve our community members' physical and mental health needs.
